Alejandra Villalba García (Tijuana, Baja California, Mexico, 1992). She attended the Mantarraya Film Workshop.
She has a degree in Communication from the Autonomous University of Baja California.
Currently, she’s part of the collective Somos/Simios where she directs, writes, produces and edits music videos.
She is also the co-founder and co-director of Salón de Belleza, a mexican film distributor.
Her short film "Microcastle" won "Best Narrative Short Film" at the 25th San Diego Latino Film Festival,
participated in the 14th edition of the Morelia International Film Festival (FICM),
in the 16th edition of Macabro Film Festival, in the 16th International Film Students Meeting in San Sebastian Film Festival
and in the exhibition “Invitation to Morelia International Film Festival” within the 56th Semaine de la Critique at the Cannes Film Festival.
